Artist Bio

Marcia Pickard

I grew up in the United States in the beautiful state of Maine where I stomped through mud puddles, picked wild flowers, jumped in piles of fallen leaves, and made snow angels. When inside, I made as much art, in as many ways, as possible.

I moved to California to attend the California College of Art where I learned to weave, throw, and sculpt from masters of their art and craft forms. I also met my first orchid.

I now live in Florida where I run a small, one-woman business selling my pottery at shows and online. I tend my orchid garden, ballroom dance, sing, drink loose-leaf tea, and read lots of sci-fi/fantasy novels.
